Medtner Song Recitals in Berlin and Tilburg
The Medtner Project completed the first integral recording of the songs by the Russian composer Nikolai Medtner (1880-1951) in december 2025 and presents his songs during the recitals in Berlin and Tilburg (NL).
His close friend Sergei Rachmaninoff called him, “the best living composer of his time.” And not without reason. Medtner always searches for a challenge, dissects the matter, sculpts with sound, and knows how to create a complete new, special, and idiosyncratic world.
The CDs were received with great success by the press and public. One speaks of a “triumph” and praises the convincing way the music is approached and performed.
