Medtner in Leiden, Sint – Truiden and Amsterdam

In season 24-25′ the Medtner Project will complete their integral recording of the songs by Nikolai Medtner. The presentation concert of the latest 5th CD will take place on December 8, 2024 at the Duif in Amsterdam. But Medtner will sound at several venues this season.

Welcome to our concerts with songs full of hope and despair, longing and melancholy, themes of eternity and transience, power and fragility, based on texts by Goethe, Nietzsche, Pushkin, Tyutchev and Fet, among others, but also in his extraordinary vocalisations, in which wordless communication is his primary goal. It was Medtner’s fervent desire to understand each other through the universal language of music. The Medtner Project aims to spread this.
